Grow up? NO!

OK, I hate to say it... But, It is my Birthday Month! I am not a fan of getting older. I fight it tooth and nail. I am not sure why I fight it. But, well, I do in a Big Way! Every Year, I do something a bit crazy to prove to myself that I am not getting old!

Yes, I know, I know, I should be in therapy! Anyway, 2 years ago I got this amazing tattoo on my back.  It took forever and hurt like Hell! But, well, AGE will not get me!

Last Year I had Pin up Photos taken... Hubba Hubba
(Up your nose 45!)

There is more to the Photo (but, well, No One needs to see my ruffle butt!)

Oh, the puppy dog paws on my shoulder ... that was for another birthday. My daughter and I got the paws together!
Yes, I am good MOM!

This year... I am going to straighten my crazy curly hair chemically at the beauty shop

AND

Buy Baby Stuff!

My Youngest Child and his wife are going to have a BABY!

Hmm... Maybe it is time to grow up????
Nope! Nope... still fighting tooth and nail!

  1. Great post Kate, and I know the feeling. I got a navel ring for my 39th birthday (NOOOOO, I'm not turning the big four oh!). But we're not getting older, just better and hopefully wiser.

  2. As always great work ! Happy Birthday and love the tattoo ! My boyfriend would love me to take a picture like that for him. It reminds me of the classy pin-up girls. You should be proud to be a wife, mother, teacher, do your mosaics, and still look great !
    Thanks for sharing !

  6. I love your work Kate, and your sense of humour. I also have trouble with birthdays - I'm 37 and have 4 kids under 10, at least I don't have to think about being a grandparent yet. This year I enrolled my 5yr old daughter in ballet, and after some convincing, I've gone back to ballet classes (its been 20yrs since I did it). I'm even going back to pointe - thats my crazy. The rest of my class are 13 - 20 yr olds! fun though, my husband always says you are only as old as the person you feel :-) you certainly don't look old enough to be a grandma!

  8. I am also 45 and have 3 kids under 10! Although my body now has a mind of it's own, I feel and look better than I ever have. The 40s are the best because you stop being as concerned about what other people think. I for one have embraced my crazy curly and am sporting a fro-hawk! So do you Birthday girl...do you!

Great blog and creations! Found you on EOF.
